Fox & Friends : Fox News' Top Misinformer Of 2011 | Media Matters for America: "Fox & Friends Claimed That Obama "Would Have Apologized To Japan" For Hiroshima Bombing. During an October 13 discussion of the a WikiLeaks cable regarding a September 2009 visit by Obama to Japan, Doocy claimed that "[w]e would have apologized to Japan" for the bombing of Hiroshima and that "apparently the United States is not waiting for Japan to apologize for us for bombing us at Pearl Harbor or the Bataan death march." At the end of the segment, Doocy acknowledged that the White House said there was never a plan for the president to apologize to Hiroshima. On October 14, Fox & Friends issued a "clarification" to its October 13 segment, with Doocy saying: "We want to be very clear. There was never a plan for President Obama to apologize to Japan."
